This wearable subwoofer lets bassists feel what they play

Designed by bass player Yerko Sepulveda after studying engineering at the University of Sydney, the BackBeat is a wearable subwoofer that lets you feel what you play – even if you can’t quite hear it. Simply attach the device to your strap, connect to your bass, and get instant feedback directly to your body.

The BackBeat features I/O connectivity to be used with anything from an amplifier to headphones or your pedalboard, while also incorporating a rumble control to adjust how much of the beat you feel.

The project is currently being funded on Kickstarter with plans to start shipping in September 2018. If you’re a bassist who is tired of not hearing your playing on stage, you can fund BackBeat here.
