WATCH: TOM PETTY, PRINCE + MORE PERFORM 'WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS'

Also Featuring Steve Winwood, Dhani Harrison and Jeff Lynne

Thirteen years ago, some of rock's finest musicians came together at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to cover George Harrison's seminal Beatles classic 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' resulting in one of the best tribute performances of the 21st century.

While the performance is led by the late Tom Petty and features vocal harmonies and acoustic treatment from George Harrison's own son Dhani, the real star in this video is definitely Prince. Seemingly emerging from the shadows about halfway through the already great performance, Prince shreds his way through the epic guitar solo (originally performed by Eric Clapton), taking the cover to electrifying heights as his fellow bandmates look on in awe.
