It’s one thing to advertise your product as practically indestructible, but it’s another altogether to recruit a British punk rock band to attack the product with guitars and a cricket bat to prove it.
Aston Microphones has done just that, teaming up with IDLES to put their Spirit and Origin mic to the ultimate test. The band doesn’t hold back, taking turns to hit the microphone with their guitars and grabbing a cricket bat to face up to an atypical delivery (we don’t recommend replacing a cricket ball with a microphone at home).
It’s six and out for IDLES as they prove the microphone truly is unbreakable. Catch them on tour around the nation this January via Live Nation, with scheduled stops in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.
We caught up with IDLES earlier this year to chat about their remarkable new album, Joy As An Act Of Resistance. You can protect your mic from the perils of punk rock with the Aston Microphones SwiftShield, as reviewed by Mixdown.
