Former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison treated fans to a spontaneous acoustic performance of the band’s track ‘(sic)’ outside his hotel in Argentina earlier this week.
Jordison borrowed a fan’s guitar to perform the song from Slipknot’s self-titled debut album to the gathered crowd, later posting a video of the performance to Instagram with the caption, “Impromptu jam session w/ a fan’s guitar outside my hotel w/ some of the greatest fans in the world!!! #respect #ilovemyfans”.
Since parting ways with Slipknot in 2013, Jordison has spoken out about his departure, claiming the band fired him over email in a “cowardly” manner. The drummer has also revealed he suffers from a rare nervous system disease called transverse myelitis which affects the functioning of his legs and impacts his ability to play drums.
Jordison was in Argentina to appear at the Monsters of Rock festival with his new band VIMIC, who are set to release their debut album in 2018.
