Trivium announce new album What The Dead Men Say

The new record, which is slated for release via Roadrunner Records on Friday April 24, marks the first full-length to come from the Trivium camp since 2017’s The Sin and the Sentence, which almost nabbed them a Grammy for the doomy ‘Betrayer’. The band have also shared a new single ‘Catastrophist’ – listen to that below.

In a statement released alongside the announcement of the new record, the band declare that What The Dead Men Say will act as a continuation of the groundwork laid down on their previous album, with frontman Matt Heafy saying that “What The Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium. On this album, one can hear the proper ingredients of past, present, and future Trivium. The Trivium sound is having everything the band does — on one album.”

Guitarist Corey Beaulieu also affirmed Heafy’s comments, explaining that the record came about in a flurry to capture the dynamic nature possessed by the group. We wanted to build on the foundation that we established with the last album. The record has all the elements that are Trivium — along with all of us wanting to keep pushing ourselves creatively. This led to a highly-inspired and fast-paced writing and recording process that really captures the energy of the band.”
