The Animals As Leaders genius and Abasi Concepts founder will be launching the store next Wednesday on February 26, with most of the gear to hit the block being used heavily on tour with his band. Abasi says that the rising popularity of Abasi Concepts and an evolution in taste helped to shape the nature of the acution, saying in a statement that “With the development of my own brand and changes in my taste, a lot of these guitars aren’t getting the playing time they deserve. All of these pieces have served me well and I hope they bring inspiration to the new homes they find.”
One of the most notable items up for grabs is Abasi’s Ibanez TAM100 eight string, used extensively to write, record and tour Animals As Leaders’ 2014 LP The Joy Of Motion – check it out below.
There’s also Abasi’s main Fractal AxeFX II LL rig from that era, as well as an eight string Strandberg Boden, a Mayones Custom Regius and another Ibanez Custom Shop Prestige built for Abasi almost ten years ago which later became the template for his signature guitar with the company.
