Tech 21 release the SansAmp PSA 2.0 preamp pedal

Tech 21 have revealed their new SansAmp PSA 2.0, a streamlined portable pedal version of the popular rackmount unit used by the likes of Muse, The 1975 and New Order.

Constructed with an all-analogue circuit path and featuring a digital processor for programming and memory selections, the PSA 2.0 aims to please bassists by transporting the big tones and versatility offered by its rack-mounted predecessor into a compact floor unit. In addition to its potential as a versatile tone-shaping tool in the studio, the SansAmp PSA 2.0 can be utilised as preamp onstage or an overly powerful DI into a PA, with the new Performance Mode allowing for it to simply act as a three-channel stompbox.

With controls for Buzz, Punch, Crunch, Drive, Gain, Low, High and Level, the PSA 2.0 also a dual band active EQ to help you zone in on your preferred tones. There’s also room for 128 tonal presets, which are easily written and stored, while MIDI capabilities allow you to patch the PSA 2.0 into a software rig to flesh your SansAmp experience out to the umpteenth degree.
