Steinberg unveil the AXR4U USB-C interface

With Neve Emulating Preamps

Industry leaders Steinberg have launched the new AXR4U audio interface, a sleek rack-mounted unit which boasts superb audio conversion and pristine Neve preamp emulations.

Aimed towards the studio professional, the AXR4U features USB-C connectivity and 32-bit integer resolution with a sample rate of up to 384 kHz, allowing you to record with sparkling audio clarity without putting too much of a strain on your computer. It's also loaded with four hybrid microphone preamps that feature Rupert Neve Designs SILK emulation to offer that inimitable sheen heard across so many classic LPs, while an ultra low latency and SSPLL keep everything running as smooth as possible while in action. On the back, there's an additional eight inputs and outputs to let you plug in outboard effects, synths, monitors and more.

Steinberg have also loaded the AXR4U with built-in DSP and VCM effects, and plug-in versions are also included as standard to make sure you're utilising the AXR4U to the fullest. It's a huge launch for the company, and we've got our fingers crossed that they send us one for review real soon!
