Party Dozen share new single ‘Auto Loser’ + Mogwai remix

With dissonant saxophones swirling around a warped Krautrock sequence, ‘Auto Loser’ is definitely one of Party Dozen’s more structured affairs, but it certainly still has plenty of weird moments. Released last week, the song is the fourth single the Sydney duo have shared from the album Pray For Party Dozen ahead of its release on Friday, following on from ‘The PPD’, ‘The Ape’ and ‘Party Dozen’.

The band, comprised of saxophonist Kirsty Tickle and drummer Johanthan Boulet, have also managed to link up with legendary Scottish post-rock ensemble Mogwai to remix ‘Auto Loser’. It’s a much darker and slow-building affair than Party Dozen’s original take, yet faithfully incorporates the chaotic energy of the original to make for quite a woozy ambient odyssey. Listen to it below.

Pray For Party Dozen is out independently this Friday May 22. Preorder the album here
