TMRW MUSIC – DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR AND COMMUNITY CURATOR (Sydney)

TMRW Music (formerly known as Ministry of Sound Australia) is currently looking for a digital content creator and curator to join their marketing team in Darlinghurst to create quality written and visual content, promoting brand awareness and personality for their wide roster of labels and artists as well as weekly events and tours.
 
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
–    2+ years in marketing, preferably within a lifestyle, youth or entertainment brand or digital agency
–    Proven experience and a supporting portfolio of written and visual content
–    Excellent copywriting skills
–    Proficiency in Photoshop and basic HTML
–    A strong knowledge and passion for the Australian and international electronic dance music scene
 
Tasks Include:
–    Developing, sourcing and creating day-to-day content for various social media channels and websites
–    Contributing creative ideas to interest new audiences and engage existing fans
–    Work closely with Digital Strategists and Marketing Managers to develop engaging content plans
–    Ad hoc writing tasks including artist bios, album blurbs and monthly EDM build and send outs

Secret Sounds, the team behind Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, are currently seeking an experienced music-minded individual to join their Surry Hills offices as a Senior Concert Promoter. ADELAIDE FRINGE FESTIVAL – AWARDS PROGRAM COORDINATOR (Adelaide)

Adelaide Fringe Festival, South Australia’s premiere open-access arts festival held over four weeks in February and March, is seeking a Program Coordinator to work in a fixed term position responsible for the delivery of the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Awards Program and assisting with special events, projects and programs produced by Adelaide Fringe.
 
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
–    Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working in festivals, arts/artists and/or a related industry 
–    Knowledge of contemporary arts practice, trends and companies in a local and national context
–    Ability to communicate, negotiate and develop internal and external relationships in a professional manner
–    Demonstrated experience in working within defined budgets
–    Exceptional ability to manage time, complex tasks, challenging projects and meeting deadlines. 
–    Candidates experienced with the Red61 VIA Microsite set up and conversion of tickets from a reservation to confirmed booking will be looked upon favourably.
 
Tasks Include:
–    Planning, managing and implementation of the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Awards Program and assisting with special events, projects and programs produced by Adelaide Fringe.
–    Overseeing budgets for specific artists projects and preparing programs within budget paramters
–    Assisting in the creation and production of events and projects to enhance the brand, reputation and credibility of Adelaide Fringe.
–    Managing the recruitment of up to 40 Fringe Volunteer Judges across all art-forms represented in the Adelaide Fringe Program. 
–    Responsibility for Judges schedules, ensuring the highest possible number of shows and events across the program and judged.

DOUBLE J – CONTEMPORARY MUSIC AND POPULAR CULTURE DIGITAL REPORTER (Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane)

Double J, the sister network of Australia’s independent national broadcaster, are currently accepting applications for an experienced journalist to join their team as a contemporary music and pop culture reporter in a city of their choosing. From covering the ARIAs to going deep on music and film industry issues, this role would suit a motivated journalist with wide cultural knowledge and an ability to cut through the glitz and glamour to tell the real story.
 
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
–    Demonstrated ability to source, research, write, fact-check, sub-edit and publish original music and pop culture news stories
–    Ability to write great copy for Double J’s target demographic of 30-50 year old Australians 
–    Proven experience in digital production and modern digital technology such as video editing, social media and content management systems
–    Proven ability to work both independently and as a team under pressure to meet tight deadlines
–    A passion for new music and culture across a range of genres and knowledge of popular sources for contemporary music and cultural news
 
Tasks Include:
–    Working with the triple j Music News producer, Double J Music Editor and Executive Producer of triple j Hack on stories for the general ABC News audience 
–    Creating and sourcing original music and culture stories from your own research, contacts and ideas
–    Sourcing, researching, writing, producing and sub-editing music and culture stories for ABC News digital platforms
–    Creating engaging content for social media platforms, including editing photos and videos, writing headlines, and engaging with comments 
–    Working with ABC News digital editors to commission and edit stories from other contributors
