LABEL COORDINATOR – Warner Music Australia (Melbourne)

Warner Music Australia is an innovative forward-thinking record label who is looking for somebody to come and join their Label Services division (ADA). They pride Themselves on creativity, dedication and our passion for music. They currently have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and dedicated Label Coordinator who is eager to join their innovative and highly motivated team based in Melbourne. You’ll be working within their Independent Label Services division (ADA) assisting the team across independent local and International labels/artists, spanning genres from Hip Hop, Rock, Electronic, Metal, Rap, Indie, R&B and more.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required: 

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally gained within the media industry
  • You need to be able to demonstrate that you are highly organised

Tasks Include:

  • Assisting the ADA & Distributed Label team with the day-to-day running of the department
  • Development and management of creative artist campaigns, maintaining close working relationships with artists, managers, third party labels and international business partners
  • Communicating and sharing music, goals and strategy to key internal and external teams
  • Regular reporting and analysis to the distributed label team and label/artist roster, leveraging in-house data and reporting systems
  • Scheduling product across physical/digital platforms and providing sales analysis as required
  • Liaising and supporting our distribution and supply chain partners
  • General office administration and support to the team

CREATIVE ASSISTANT – Mood Media (Sydney) 

Reporting to the Head of Music Curation you must have the ability to enter data quickly and accurately as well as having a good knowledge of music styles that can be applied creatively. This is a part time position.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required:

  • Good attention to detail with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A passion and interest in a wide variety of music with a strong basis of music styles knowledge
  • General knowledge of business software including but not limited to Windows operating systems, productivity tools and utilities

 

Tasks Include:

  • Digitizing new music releases into Mood’s database
  • Downloading of digital content from various music labels
  • Library Maintenance – Cataloguing Mood’s music library and ensuring accurate records are kept of musical assets
  • Mastering of Music Programs – managing the various mastering processes for Mood’s audio programs to ensure timely delivery of client updates
  • Export playlist files for licensing reporting purposes
  • Music curation – responsible for programming several core audio programs

A&R COORDINATOR – Melodie (Sydney)

They’re looking for a motivated A&R Coordinator to manage and represent their rapidly growing roster of talented composers and quality music. This role involves working across various creative, technical and administrative areas of the business.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required: 

  • Superb communicator and relationship builder. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, innovative, fun and resourceful
  • A deep knowledge of musical styles/genres with advanced critical listening skills (both creative and technical). Confident discussing music using specialist language
  • Great time management skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Able to solve problems, react and adapt quickly to new requirements and processes
  • Competence with Apple devices, Microsoft Office and Google (Sheets, Docs, Drive). Basic audio engineering skills a plus
  • Existing relationships with industry professionals (composers and clients) a plus
  • Past experience in music licensing or label administration a big plus
  • Coffee art skills will impress

  • Unearthing new talent, building and maintaining strong artist relationships
  • Meticulous management of our catalogue and databases
  • Weekly team meetings, providing insights, discussing challenges and ideas
  • Regular critical listening sessions with the A&R team
  • Representing A&R department updates across the team
  • Liaising with third party publisher and rights management representatives
  • Attending client meetings and training sessions – both on location and via phone and email
  • Staying in regular contact with existing clients, keeping up to date with their specific music requirements and communicating our general platform, music and composer updates
  • Using your knowledge of the catalogue to help clients find the best tracks for their content, curating custom music playlists to brief
  • Staying up to date with music industry news, attending events and conferences when needed
  • Be active on social media, growing our social media channels and engagement

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – Macro Music (Perth) 

Macro Music is an all service Music Management and Events company based in Fremantle, WA. They promote music festivals in the South West Region of WA ranging from 5000 to 10,000 capacity. They offer worldwide representation to top tier Australian Artists, with an emphasis on creative, innovative, career focused music business. They are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to join their team as they expand their events portfolio. You will be assisting the Company Directors in the planning, implementing and running of events, along with administrative tasks associated with the music management side of the business.

 

Skills/Responsibilities Required: 

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge within the events and/or music festival industry
  • Strong computing skills including familiarisation with G Suite and MS Office
  • An ability to work quickly and solve logistical issues efficiently under pressure
  • Appropriate professional approach to dealing with authorities and stakeholders
  • Ability to ease into a strong, successful team and able to adapt to different environments quickly
