In-House Touring Publicist – Bluesfest

Bluesfest is a world-renowned music festival approaching its 28th year in 2017 and is held annually in the idyllic surrounds of Byron Bay, NSW. They are currently seeking an in-house Touring Publicist to join the team in Byron Bay.  Bluesfest Touring is Bluesfest’s established touring company that presents over 100 sideshows each year across Australia & New Zealand as well as various tours throughout the year. As in-house Touring Publicist, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of outside show publicity and work closely with the Bluesfest team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating outside show publicity (Bluesfest Touring) 
  • Coordination of Bluesfest outside show artist announcements
  • Liaise with festival marketing team on artist announcements and marketing campaigns
  • Writing copy for press releases, EDMS, websites
  • Distributing press releases
  • Proofing various promotional material
  • Devising and coordinating outside show marketing campaigns 
  • Pitching and coordinating artist interviews for touring roster and liaise with festival publicist/ record labels/ artist management and representatives on PR strategy
  • Developing efficient campaigns, giveaways, promotions
  • Reporting to festival management

 

Skills/experience required:

  • Multi-task & work to tight deadlines
  • Be highly organised/strong attention to detail
  • Have a ‘no job is too big or too small’ attitude
  • Have strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient writing and editing skills
  • Have proven PR and Marketing experience
  • Have strong media relations
  • Willing to be available outside regular working hours
  • Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously

Marketing Coordinator – triple j

Australia’s national youth network is seeking a motivated Marketing Coordinator to help grow the triple j brand. If you’ve got strong marketing experience, current knowledge of the music, media or entertainment industries and are full of ideas, you could be just the person triple j need to work with them on projects including the Hottest 100, One Night Stand, Unearthed High, Double J campaigns and triple j’s annual music festival partnerships.

 

This role is integral to the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, competitions and publicity. It requires proven experience in marketing or promotions, excellent written expression, great communication skills and the ability to establish strong relationships with both the team and external partners..

 

Skills/experience required:

  • 2-3 years of experience in bringing creative marketing ideas and campaigns to life
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in establishing strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • High level organisational and admin skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in prioritising tasks, problem solving and meeting tight deadlines.
  • An ability to write in a triple j tone of voice for on-air, social media and eNewsletter formats.
  • Knowledge of the role of triple j, Double J and triple j Unearthed within in the media industry.

Project/Account Manager – Thinking Loud

Thinking Loud is looking for an experienced Project / Account Manager with a passion for music, entertainment and consumer brands. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a range of client projects, as part of a growing agency portfolio of established global brands and desirable music sponsorship properties.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day client contact, managing the relationship and expectations
  • Manage partnerships / project coordinator and internship program
  • Uncover, take and manage response to briefs – inputting creatively and showcasing strong presentation and leadership skills
  • Manage WIP meetings (client and internal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong budget management skills
  • Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams
  • Participate in new business process including research, creative development, proposal writing and pitch presentations

 

Skills/experience required:

  • 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role/industry
  • A strong passion for music and entertainment a must have.
