MUSIC INTERVIEWS COORDINATOR – 3RRR

For almost 40 years Triple R has shaped and inspired the culture of Melbourne. Since its inception in 1976, Triple R has become Australia’s most influential independent community radio station with almost 15,000 subscribers and an estimated 440,000 listeners per week.
 

The role:
The Music Interviews Coordinator is primarily responsible for the placement of all music interviews on Triple R. This person in this role will work most closely with Music Coordinator and reports to the Program Manager. This role is a fixed term 12-month parental leave contract and is a part-time position of 3 days per week.

 

Your background:
Triple R are seeking an individual with an exceptional knowledge of local and overseas music, strong user-level IT skills, strong personal communication, administration and organisation skills and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously. Other desirable attributed include radio/PA/EA experience, an understanding of Triple R programming, social media skills, podcasting experience and written and/or audio editing experience.

ADMINISTRATOR POSITION – THE PUSH INC

The Push is a not-for-profit, Victorian youth music organisation in its 28th year of operation. The Push carries out a number of annual music programs and provides support to young people in relation to creative industry pathways. Offering up mentoring programs and organising Face The Music each year are just the beginning of The Push’s endless roles in the Victorian community.

 

The role:
The Administrator is a full-time employee of The Push and provides day-to-day office administration, bookkeeping and project administrative support. The Administrator reports to the Executive Officer and liaises with Push staff, clients, suppliers and the wider Victorian music community. 

 

Your background:
The Push is seeking a candidate who has experience in office management and intermediate bookkeeping skills, including use of MYOB or similar accounting program.

 

Other essentials include:

  • Suitable administration and office management experience.
  • Experience in providing payroll, superannuation, GST, PAYG and associated procedures in a similar workplace.
  • Suitable experience in using office systems, computer systems and programs, including use of MYOB or similar finance software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of ATO and Government reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The Employee agrees to successfully complete a Police Check and Working with Children Check.

TOURING LOGISTICS COORDINATOR – MINISTRY OF SOUND AUSTRALIA

Opened in 1991, Ministry of Sound was one of the key locations in the development of house music and super-clubs in Britain in the early 90s. Since then, like a shape-shifting mutant cool thing from the future, Ministry has adapted, grown and overcome all sorts of adversity. Besides all the obvious series you know and love (The Annual, The Chillout Sessions, The Clubbers Guide, MoS Classics, Hard NRG, Housexy, Mashed, Maximum Bass, MoS Sessions), Ministry Of Sound Australia support both independent local and international acts.

 

The role:
You will be a vital member of the Minstry Of Sound touring team, supporting the booking agents as they continue to expand the business representing and touring international and local musical acts. Professional administration management and coordination is critical to our success.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the booking agents in organising all performance dates for the Artists we represent.
  • Coordinating all travel and accommodation requirements as necessary for each Artist performing interstate or internationally.
  • Ensuring all other requirements of our Artists are being met, for each performance at each venue.
  • Reconciling all expenses incurred and payments owed to each performer to ensure prompt and accurate payment.
  • Ensuring good relationships are built and maintained with each client and venue.
  • Administration support to General Manager of our Touring division
  • Dealing with the many ad-hoc challenges that arise.

 

Your background:

  • Solid experience in a similar capacity as an Administrator, Events or Touring Co-ordinator would be highly valued.
  •  Strong organisational and administration abilities and a high degree of attention to detail is essential.
  •  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enterprising approach to problem solving and an eye for finding ways to improve processes.
