Mac DeMarco has launched his own record label

Having been with his previous label, Brooklyn-based independent label Captured Tracks, for the last six years, the Mac has decided to take things into his own hands moving forwards, founding a label under his own name and partnering up with distribution company Caroline, who oversee the release of Epitaph, ATO and Fool’s Gold, to release his music worldwide.

The label announcement comes in conjunction with a US tour announcement where DeMarco will be hitting the road on his own for the first time ever on his ‘Purple Bobcat Next to River’ solo tour, before heading over to Europe for a string of dates there. For every ticket sold to his upcoming tour, Mac will be donating $1 of the proceeds of each ticket to support local Girls Rock Camps as he strongly believes in “their work empowering girls, trans and gender-diverse young people through music education and mentorship.”
