Line 6 shares details of Helix 2.60 firmware update

The Helix/HX Firmware 2.60 – also referred to by Line 6 as “The Spring Cleaning Update” – sees two new amp models, four new effects models, and two new features arrive as a free update. The amp models are based on the Mesa/Boogie Lonestar and Friedman BE-100, while the new effects models are detailed below:

  1. Deranged Master: distortion, based on the Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster
  2. Deez One Vintage: distortion, based on the BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal
  3. Deez One Mod: distortion, based on the BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal
  4. 1 Switch Looper: looper, Line 6 original

Other improvements include tweaking the HX Reverb models to sound notably wetter, enhancing synchronising to incoming MIDI clock, and maintaining consistency in the Mix parameter defaults of both mono and stereo HX Reverbs.

Line 6 has also fixed a bunch of bug issues to help you on your way to the perfect mix with your Helix/HX device in no time.

Line 6 is distributed in Australia through Yamaha Music Australia. Find out more about Line 6’s HX Effects in our product review here
