The latest lineup announcement from the festival features none other than funk legends and certified dancefloor incinerators Kool & The Gang, who’ll be bringing their decade spanning, brass-heavy sound to Byron Bay on Easter Saturday – the same night as George Benson, Patti Smith and Ani DiFranco. What a night!
Elsewhere, the lineup reveal sees Dweezil Zappa join on for the festivities, just weeks after he announced his own headline tour around the country in celebration of 50 years of Frank Zappa’s Hot Rats LP. There’s also Latin maestros The Gipsy Kings, inaugural Australian Idol winner and cult hero Guy Sebastian, local blues legends Chain, Ash Grunwald, The Waifs, Troy Cassar-Daley, Allen Stone and Erja Lyytinen, rounding out what’s already a mammoth lineup.
Check out the new additions and previously announced acts below. We’ve heard that the festival are planning to keep the announcements rolling into the new year, so expect to see even more lineup changes over the coming months.
