Jimmy Page celebrates 50 years of Led Zeppelin with new Sundragon amplifier

The Sundragon is a faithful recreation of the amp Page used on Led Zeppelin’s debut LP among other recordings, including Joe Cocker’s album With a Little Help from My Friends.

After Page’s original amp – a Supro Coronado – fell out of the band’s van during a pre-Zeppelin tour, the subsequent modifications changed the sound of the amp to something truly unique.

Made in collaboration with Mitch Colby and Perry Margouleff, Page has recreated and released the amp for the first time ever.

“I had been impressed with the forensic analysis both Mitch and Perry had put into the research of the sonic reproduction of the original Supro amp to arrive at the Sundragon,” said Page.

Fifty hand-built Sundragons will be released this year, each signed by Jimmy Page himself.
