Ibanez Unveil New Steve Vai JEM Signature Artist Model Guitar

ibanez JEM.jpg

As part of Ibanez’s revered premium series, the new JEM77WDP-CNL was designed for professionals and features a beautiful rosewood top with a stained wood pickgaurd, which assists the overall feel and warmth of the guitars tone. The original Ibanez JEM debuted in 1987 and was co-designed by Vai himself. The JEM guitar has played part in Steve Vai’s iconic career throughout the decades, often seen in both live performances and music videos.

The new Signature JEM77WDP-CNL boasts a rich and full resonant sound with its mahogany body. The guitar features Tree of Life inlays, which spans across the rosewood fretboard, and is fitted with a 5pc maple/walnut Wizard neck and jumbo frets. Ibanez has taken extra steps making this Signature JEM special with premium edge treatment, with an edge zero II tremolo bridge that captures a smooth and comfortable performance. Ibanez has bypassed the ostentatious appearance this time, opting for something more grounded and humble, assuring comfort and superior tuning stability.

One feature that Steve Vai always ensured his signature model guitars have is the classic DiMarzio Dark Matter 2 humbucker pickups (with a single coil DiMarzio in the middle), which come with a decorative custom pickup cover. The new model offers versatility and high performance for any professional wanting to match their quality of playing.
