Groovin The Moo reveals its 2020 lineup

It might be its oddest lineup to date, but Groovin The Moo has really mustered up quite the herd for its 2020 festival. Of course, there’s all the big Triple J festival names you’d expect – Mallrat, Gang Of Youths, Tones And I, Ruby Fields, Kira Piru, Manu Crooks, WAAX, E^st and Hayden James all sit high up on the bill, as do old school favourites such as The Veronicas, The Cat Empire and San Cisco. There’s also a smattering of rising young contemporay acts including lo-fi pop sensation Clairo and hip-house don Channel Tres, as well as acclaimed rappers AJ Tracey, YBN Cordae, Texan star Maxo Kream and the ‘catch me outside’ girl herself, Bhad Bhabie.

However, the real magic in this lineup lays in the old school acts – namely Supergrass, the beloved Britpop act who reformed last year for another run of touring, as well as RnB legend Kelis – the milkshake maker herself. Somehow Groovin have also pulled Sugarhill Gang – aka the New York crew who essentially broke hip-hop into the mainstream with their 1979 hit ‘Rappers Paradise’, and there’s even Darude for good measure. Sheesh!

Check out the lineup in its entirety below, and head here for all the festival sites and dates. Tickets for Bendigo, Bunbury and Canberra go on sale next Tuesday at 8am, while Maitland, Townsville and Wayville tickets go live at 8am Wednesday February 12.
