It’s shaping up to be a great day for KISS fans with the news that Gene Simmons has recruited his old bandmate Ace Frehley as the support act for his upcoming Australian tour.
Simmons shared the news during his current US tour, revealing that he’ll be joined by Frehley for five rescheduled Australian shows.
“He’s going to be using my back-up band and we’re just going to have a great time,” said Simmons. “He’ll play ‘Ozone’ and lots of other crazy stuff.”
The KISS guitarist also mentioned his recent reunions with other bandmates including Peter Criss and Vinnie Vincent, but noted with a laugh that he hasn't convinced Paul Stanley just yet.
Simmons announced his Australian tour in October last year, later rescheduling the dates for August instead. Find your nearest rescheduled show here:
Tuesday August 28: Entertainment Centre Theatre, Adelaide, SA
Thursday August 30: Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne, VIC
Friday August 31: Enmore Theatre, Sydney, NSW
