Fender Japan debut signature models for J-Pop group Silent Siren

The two new Silent Siren signature instruments, which will be crafted and marketed exclusively in Japan, feature some notable tweaks on the traditional Telecaster and Jazz Bass models that we’re used to, reflecting Fender Japan’s penchant for experimenting with the weird and whacky.

Sumire Yoshida, who acts as both lead vocalist and guitarist in the group, has copped an incredibly cool signature Telecaster, featuring an all-white finish that stretches all the way up past the alder body to the fretboard and headstock. There’s also an eye-catching painted-on F Hole, as well as a HS pickup configuration with a Shawbucker in the bridge and a vintage single coil in the neck position.

On the four-string front, bassist Aina Yamauchi has received a wild competition-striped Jazz Bass, decked in Fender’s ever-enticing Seafoam Green finish with a matching headstock to boot. There’s also a pair of vintage modified Jazz Bass single coils in the pickup department, while a HiMass vintage bridge offers enhanced tuning stability and sustain.

If these models are anything to go by, it looks like Fender are sticking true to their pledge to create more female artist signature models. We can’t wait to see what 2020 brings us!
