The acoustic sound comes from a two-post Fishman Powerbridge, and the standard pickups are three Lace Sensor Gold single coils for the electric sounds. The guitar features a soft V-shaped neck, a four-bolt neck plate with Fender’s Micro-Tilt adjustment, a Torino red body with NOS finish, maple neck and fingerboard and a three ply W/B/W pickguard.
Since first using the Strat in 1989, Townshend has had a long history with the company, and Fender has repaid his faith with this accurate reconstruction of his custom axe. Its unknown what the price or availability will be yet, but lets hope we can get our hands on them down under.
