After kicking up a fuss with their fantastic range of steel string acoustic models in previous years, Faith Guitars have announced that they're branching off into classical territory with the launch of the Lyra nylon string acoustic guitar.
Designed in the UK and crafted in Indonesia, the Lyra features a unique slimline design, while the profile of the neck still makes it suitable for slinky fingerpicking. The guitar is crafted with a solid red cedar top and rosewood back and sides, which are both finished in a high gloss lacquer for a glowing sheen. The neck of the Lyra is also rosewood, while the ebony fretboard provides a sweet, dark tone to complement the cedar top. There's also a soundhole rosette made form Indonesian rosewood, boasting an Abalone border for a classy aesthetic.
The Faith Lyra is also fitted with a Fishman Sonitone preamp and pickup inside the soundhole, which has been specially designed for classical guitars to carry out the trebly, higher frequencies of nylon strings when plugged in. It's a pretty exciting release from the company, and we're very keen to get our hands on it. 'Classical Gas', anyone?
Faith Guitars are distributed in Australia via CMC Music.
