Ernie Ball Music Man unveil their illustrious BFR collection for December

Limited to 84 models worldwide, the December BFR JP15 puts a striking aesthetic twist on the John Petrucci signature model, placing a streaked Purple Sunset finish atop of a spalted maple top with a translucent purple finish on the back. This one features all chrome hardware and a deliciously figured roasted maple neck and fingerboard, with white shield fretboard inlays and a distinctive 15 logo at the first fret completing the picture.

Thirsty? If you aren’t already, you’ll be craving a sip of something after taking a glimpse at the BFR Atomic Orange Stingray. With an exclusive sparkle finish and two humbucking pickups, the BFR Stingray boasts a lightweight African Okoume body and a roasted maple neck with an ebony fretboard – a combination which has proven to be very successful on previous Ernie Ball instruments. It’s also decked out with block inlays, and is limited to 55 models – get in quick if you want a gulp of this spicy Atomic Orange beverage.

Annie Clark’s St. Vincent signature model has once again received the BFR treatment, this time in a tough Dargie Green III matte finish. This one’s got a lightweight Okoume body and two strips of Pearl inlay down the top and bottom of the fretboard, while a figure roasted maple neck and matching headstock completes the package. The BFR Dargie Green III St. Vincent is limited to a scant 41 models, so if this one’s up your alley, be sure to place your order sooner rather than later.

There’s also the Blue Magic Cutlass HSS, limited to 56 models worldwide and reflecting all the prestige that we’ve come to expect from the BFR range. Featuring a flamed, figured maple neck with black dot inlays and a tuxedo-bound fretboard, with all-black hardware acting as the bowtie on this classy specimen. The lightweight alder body gives the Cutlass a very Strat-esque appearance and feel, while the matte Blue Magic finish promises to boggle even the artsiest of shred heads.
