As well as performing the entirety of Disintegration, including tear-jerking fan favourites like ‘Lovesong’ and ‘Pictures of You,’ the band is set to perform a number of other songs from their extensive back catalogue. The Cure previously played Vivid LIVE back in 2011 for their Reflections Tour, which saw them revisit their seminal early LPs such as Boys Don’t Cry and Seventeen Seconds.
In a press release, Robert Smith expressed his relationship with Sydney’s annual cultural event, stating “Vivid LIVE is a wonderful international event… Our Reflections shows in 2011 were truly memorable experiences, and with the excitement surrounding those early album performances in mind, we are more than delighted to be announcing our return in May 2019 to present the world premiere of Disintegration – 30th Anniversary.”
