City and Colour announces new album A Pill For Loneliness

It's Coming Out On Friday October 4

City and Colour, the solo project of Alexisonfire's Dallas Green, has announced the release date for their sixth record, titled A Pill For Loneliness.

The new record is set for release on Friday October 4, and will be the first released under the Green's newly minted Still Records. A Pill For Loneliness features production credits from Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Norah Jones, Kings Of Leon) and was mastered by Grammy award winning engineer Emily Lazar.

A Pill For Loneliness offers a collection of kaleidoscopic acoustic strummers with dense orchestration and Green's trademark vocals, with lyrics pinning themselves to the stresses of living in the modern age. In a statement heralding the release of the album, Green elaborated on the cathartic experience of creating A Pill For Loneliness, saying “I wrote a lot of dark songs and wrapped them in the most beautiful sounds we could find. There are personal connotations, but they’re also relatable. I’m thankful for the opportunity to create.”
