Ben Stiller is reuniting with his old punk band to re-release their debut album

Stiller was the drummer for Capital Punishment in his high school days alongside Peter Swann (future Supreme Court Justice of Arizona), Peter Zuis (Professor of Slavic Studies), and Kriss Roebling (who continued his passion and became a musician/documentarian).

Released in 1982, Roadkill was self-released as the band’s first and only album. The reissued edition sees Capital Punishment team up with Captured Tracks for an updated release set to feature bonus tracks recorded in 1979 and 1983.

The group has shared the lead single from the album, titled ‘Muzak Anonymous’, which offers a distinct punk edge to the track from the opening seconds. Listen below and see how Derek Zoolander fares in the world of punk rock:

Roadkill is out Friday September 14 through Captured Tracks.
