The Beatles break yet another record with this 1962 demo

Sold For Almost $15,000

An extremely rare promo disc by The Beatles has been sold for a whopping $14,757 US dollars.

While it falls short by a mere $243 of becoming the highest selling item ever on Discogs (Prince’s Black Album currently holds that title), it’s currently the most expensive item ever sold in the 7” category. The record contains a demo of The Beatles’ first Parlophone single 'Love Me Do', with 'P.S. I Love You' on the flip side.

This is one of only 250 copies issued with Paul McCartney incorrectly spelled in the credits as 'McArtney'. The single was purchased through Discogs nearly 55 years from the day of the original release.
