Avid announce the release of Pro Tools 2019

MacOS users will be stoked to know that Pro Tools 2019 is fully compatible with Mojave, with Avid bringing the powerful DAW to Apple’s latest software platform to appease the countless users holding off from updating their machines.

Other new features include additional audio and MIDI tracks, with Pro Tools now being able to host 384 audio tracks (!!!) straight out the box – a major 50% increase from previous versions. This is sure to be a hit with users working on huge projects such post-production or scoring for film and television, and there’s even the option to increase your track count to an inconceivable 768 voices through additional purchases. For software nerds, Pro Tools 2019 supports up to 1024 MIDI tracks – more than double what was provided with last versions. Insane.

Elsewhere, Pro Tools 2019 offers a swathe of useful workflow updates, including the ability to interact with tracks during playback. This means you can create, copy and delete stems, change loops, insert and remove effects and change I/Os without any audio interruption. There’s also a new EUCON app to improve mixing workflow via external tablets or devices, which you can read more about here
