Celebrating Equality Within The Music Industry

Amazon Music has dropped an extensive series of playlists curated by prominent Australian female artists to celebrate International Women's Day, with musicians such as Courtney Barnett, Delta Goodrem, Thelma Plum and more contributing to the Amazon Music exclusive.

Created to provide a unique insight into the formative and ongoing influences that continue to inspire the artists' own creative output, the Guest Curator playlists also feature contributions from the likes of Australian artists such as The Veronicas, Meg Mac, Stella Donnelly, Alex Lahey, Kira Piru, Odette and Kate Miller-Heidke.

Other international contributors include neo-soul sensation Jorja Smith, Jamila Woods, Maggie Rogers, Sharon Van Etten, Little Mix and more.

In regards to the creation of the Guest Curator initative for International Womens Day, The Veronicas’ Lisa and Jessica Origliasso stated “We’re excited to be a part of Amazon Music’s International Women’s Day initiative. We’ve put together a playlist of amazing female musicians - pioneers and the new generation. Music unites us and the fight for equality inspires us. Happy International Women’s Day!”
