Albert Lee, Jeff Lang and more announced for Melbourne Guitar Show 2018

UK guitar icon Albert Lee is leading the way for this year’s performers at the event, bringing decades of experience and a reputation as one of the most renowned guitar players in history with him. Lee will be joined by local legend Jeff Lang and young guitar virtuoso Daniel Champagne, while Nick Charles, Bob Spencer and Shannon Bourne will return to the Melbourne Guitar Show as proven crowd favourites.

Fiona Boyes, Alison Ferrier and Cat Canterri will also lend their talents to the show, with more artist announcements set to arrive in the coming weeks. With the 2017 event attracting more than 5,500 guitar lovers, this year’s Melbourne Guitar Show is preparing for the crowds with a monster exhibition featuring effects pedals, amps, electric and acoustic guitars from some of the world’s leading manufacturers.

“After an awesome show last year, we’re looking forward to continuing the tradition the show is creating,” said Australian Music Association executive officer and MGS organiser, Rob Walker. “We’re very pleased to present Albert Lee on his 75th birthday tour, as well as the usual host of wonderful players we present.

“Our exhibition welcomes back some big names this year and the learning opportunities are plentiful. If you’re in the market for guitars and gear, great live music from some of the best players, the Melbourne Guitar Show is the place to be.”

A major drawcard for the event will be the seminars, demonstrations and exclusive performances held by some of our most talented guitarists, adding further intrigue to the must-see exhibition.
