ADIDAS AND ROLAND TEAM UP FOR DRUM MACHINE SNEAKERS

You Could Literally Be Walking To The Beat

The Mi Adidas Neely Air | Roland TR-808: Disturb the Peace sneakers were designed as part of the Mi Adidas 'Just for Kicks' creative challenge. And yes, they can actually make beats.

Neely & Daughters created the prototype concept that incorporates a working drum machine into a pair of Adidas mid-top sneakers. The Roland TR-808 is a classic drum machine that was highly influential in the early days of 1980s hip hop and can be heard on countless recordings of the era. Designed to emulate the classic dark grey, orange and yellow TR-808 look, the sneakers are equipped with six pre-programmed settings and volume controls to complete the drum machine.

While we love the concept, sadly the sneakers remain a prototype and unfortunately are not for sale.

Roland are distributed in Australia through rolandcorp.com.au.
